Master the musical skills that can empower you as a musician. Play with the tools we cover each week while performing with pianist Lee Bloom in each class.
What does it take to stand out as a singer? You need to have more than a good voice and the ability to sing in front of an audience. When you can master the musical skills that empower you as a musician, it will set you apart from the crowd. Your confidence in your musicianship will enhance your performance and the music itself.
But gaining this knowledge and learning fundamentals can be pretty dull unless you have the opportunity to try your wings and apply these new ideas in a musical context. You'll have fun in this workshop playing with the tools and techniques we cover each week while performing with a pianist in each class.
"As singers we really need to be seen by the instrumentalists as being on equal footing, and in too many cases, they have ample reason for legitimate complaint. This workshop could go a long way to change that!" Wesla Whitfield
Once you learn how to use these concepts, you will be able to handle any performing situation. No matter whether you are a novice singer or experienced, this information will be useful…because learning never stops!

“With this program of fourteen delicate melodies,
the singer delivers from the heart. She just lets it fly, and
what happens is a lovely melodic parade.”
- Jim Santella, All About Jazz
